WHO AM I?
Ryla Louise is an Australian-American creative based in Manhattan.
Creating is something that comes naturally to Ryla. Growing up as the eldest child of a locally published newspaper advertisement illustrator, Ryla watched and learned what mediums she preferred and began her career as a multifaceted creative.
Through her use of bold colours and solid lines, Ryla arouses the creative eye in every viewer by challenging what they see and feel from her paintings, shifting their perspective and evoking emotion. Her art practice focuses on bending acrylics and new mediums to create a galaxy that will take the viewer away to another place in space.
With her ever-evolving approach to art, Ryla’s focus is on expanding customary views of creativity and challenging fine-art paradigms by mixing traditional mediums with new approaches—all the while opening up the creative process from that of a singular artist; to one that thrives on multi-layered collaboration and viewer participation.
